November

November was fun and busy. It flew by and I'm not quite sure I'm ready for December because it is usually busier! This is a little of what we did...

Ryan caught this cute picture of the boys just hanging out under their highchairs.

The boys love animals! We read about animals, sing about animals, play with toy animials, point out every animal we see anywhere... you get the idea. I made these animal magnets for them a while ago. They can pick them all out and do almost all the animals sounds. They aren't saying too many words yet, but they have their animal sounds down!

Saving the world in their superhero capes. They lift their arms above their heads and say "fly!" It is beyond cute.
(And yes I was a little slow getting the Halloween decorations down as evidenced by the last 2 pictures)
I desperately needed a getaway, so we packed up and headed to Utah for a weekend.  I never thought I would miss Utah as much as I do. We have so many good memories there though, and it really is a good place. It was nice to visit, even though we really haven't been gone that long. We got a hotel (which we were a little nervous about the boys not sleeping in their own cribs but they did fine), went swimming, ate at the two restaurants we miss the most, visited friends and family, and did a little shopping. We stopped at the children's museum in Salt Lake and the boys were in heaven. We could've spent a lot longer there, but I'm sure we will be going back sometime. We failed horribly at taking pictures of our little trip!

They loved the kitchen area (of course). It was scary to see what my kitchen would look like if I didn't have locks on the drawers.

We made pumpkin chocolate chip cookies. They love cooking and were sure proud of their yummy cookies.

We had a lovely turkey dinner with both families this year. We were with the Dahls on Thursday, and then the Eastmans had their dinner on Saturday. This is our only family picture on Thanksgiving. Don't mind Kegans bright blue sweats. We should've taken the picture before dinner...
I turned a quarter of a century old this month. Yikes! I have to brag on Ryan for a bit. The Saturday before my birthday he surprised me and had set up a few Minute to Win It games in the basement complete with blueprint videos. We both played them and if I was able to complete the challenge I won money for a shopping trip. It was a lot of fun and super creative! He was very generous though because I definitly failed a couple! He then took me on a shopping trip during his time off for Thanksgiving. Husband of the year?! I would say so!

The boys each surprised me with a cute birthday card they made with their Dad's help

Just a cute picture of the boys. They think its pretty fun to talk to Siri on my phone.

Activities

I like to blog about some of the activities we do during the month so I can remember them for future years. I know it is boring, so this post is mainly for my benefit. Feel free to skip it!

We made some cookies for their nursery teacher. She definitely deserved it for putting up with these two as they attempted to transition to nursery!

I could never get a picture of them with their hats on!

This was their first time using brushes instead of just finger painting.

This is a pumpkin pie shaving cream paint bath. It was pretty fun! They loved it! This was at the end when all the shaving cream paint had been dumped in the water, brushed on the side, and smeared on each other.
