Easter

Holidays are just becoming more fun as the boys understand more. This year Easter was no exception. We had an egg hunt at the Eastmans on Saturday to get the boys all ready for Sunday

 Saturday night we attempted to dye eggs. They really tried to help, but we are still working on being soft.

 Easter morning was fun. They were so excited when they saw eggs and candy everywhere. They ran right over to the couch and starting stuffing jelly beans in their mouths as fast as they could. It took some coaxing for them to put things in their baskets to save for later.

 Cute boys all dressed up for church by their loot. We got them a bunch of sand toys for the sand box we are putting in this week. I'm excited! They seriously couldn't be any cuter though.

After church we headed to the Dahls and had a delicious Easter dinner. The boys were spoiled with another egg hunt. There were even a couple eggs hidden for us with movie tickets inside. While they didn't really understand why we celebrated, we at least tried. They know that Jesus has "owies" in his hands and feet. They can point them out when we look at pictures of Jesus. I'm excited to teach them what Easter is really about. I am grateful that Jesus was willing to get those "owies" for me. I'm grateful that we were able to focus on his life, the atonement, and resurrection. I teach the 12 yr old Sunday School class and this month we were learning about the atonement. I loved being able to study about it. I don't know how much I really taught the kids, but I felt the spirit so many times as I was studying for the lessons. The month ended perfectly as the atonement flowed right into the resurrection for our lesson on Easter. I am so grateful for a loving Savior that knows me and loves me despite my mistakes. I know that He lives! I am grateful for such a wonderful holiday that serves as a reminder of Christ's miraculous life and the perfect plan our Father in Heaven established for us.

Ryan's Birthday

 Ryan turned 28 in March. So I gave him 28 clues throughout the day and we went on a big scavenger hunt. (You seriously would've been amazed by my poetry skills). They led him to different places or presents, and told him different things we would be doing during the day. I gave him a few options of things to do and he chose to go swimming. We headed over the the aquatic center and had lots of fun. This is him trying to find the options for activities. One clue was hidden on a ball in the ball pit.

 The best part was definitely watching him try and find different clues

 

He chose Johnny Carinos for dinner which is one of our favorites. We love their Italian Nachos. If anyone knows how to make them let us know. I think we could live off of them.

 Then ice cream cake and a movie at home. By the end of the day we were all exhausted, but had lots of fun. Happy Birthday Ryan!

St. Patricks

The boys know the word cupcake. It is so funny to hear them say it. "cuptacake" So we decided to let them help bake and frost some.

Odds and Ends

March was a busy month and we had a lot of fun.

We went up to BYU-I and went country dancing with my brothers, sister-in-law, and friend. It was so much fun! We went out to ice cream after. My brothers are pretty awesome!

We have been playing indoor soccer, but yesterday it ended. We actually won our first tournament game, but had to forfeit the next one because we didn't have enough players. It was on a Saturday over conference and a lot of people were out of town. I sprained my ankle during our first tournament game. It has been a while since I've had a sprain this bad. It makes running after two toddlers a joy. Luckily I had lots of help from family, friends, and Ryan the first couple days after.

 It was a lot of fun playing with Ryan, John, and some of our friends.

 March madness. This is the first year that my brother John did not completely dominate our family group. Ryan and I are in first and second!

 Just a cute picture of the boys. They are so funny! I can't believe how much they are learning and growing up! They have really started repeating a lot of words and it is so nice to hear an occasional "please" after the word "snack". I love seeing them be creative when they play with each other. Since they have started talking more, they try to talk to each other. It is pretty cute. I need to try and get a video of it because none of it is comprehensible. But somehow they seem to figure it out and appear to be on the same page! It is fun to see their personalities develop more and more. They are similar in a lot of ways, but they are also very different. We sure love them!
