February

At the end of January we had an incident. I bought a bottle of sparkling cider at the grocery store. On the way in from the car, it fell out of the grocery sack and exploded all over the garage. Since it was pressurized, it literally did explode. We found huge chunks of glass in every corner, not to mention grape juice everywhere. Kegan was behind me, so I blocked him. Unfortunately,  Braden was in front of and facing me. He took the brunt of it. He had grape juice all over his face and was screaming. It scared us all pretty good, but I could tell his scream was more than being scared.  A piece of glass ended up cutting him on the lip. The grape juice made the whole situation look more terrifying though. As soon as I got him cleaned up and it stopped bleeding I knew it would need stitches. He had a couple other little cuts and I got a few on my hand, but nothing bad. I was so grateful it wasn't anything worse. It very easily could've ended up in his eye. Kegan was awesome though. He hadn't listened to me all day. However, when I was completely caught up in Braden he sprung into action. He finished bringing things in, put coats and shoes away, and brought me my phone into the bathroom. I guess its good to know he will behave in an emergency situation?
We went to the instacare, but they wouldn't do the stitches there just due to his age and location of the cut. So off to the ER we went! He ended up getting 4 stitches and it was torture for me. I made Ryan stay in the room with him while I stood in the hall. He screamed "mommy" the whole time. So sad.

It really wasn't that bad, but like I said it could've been worse. It was quite the event for the boys though. They still talk about that bottle hurting Braden almost daily.

Lately they think its pretty fun to rummage through my drawers and try on my clothes

I've been finding about a million selfies lately on my phone taken by these two . There are also plenty of pictures of the sink, bed, and garbage can.
They have asked me to build  a fort almost daily lately. I'm getting pretty good.
Plaid "cowboy shirt" and plaid shorts. I did not pick these outfits...

Projects

This is another one of those Home Depot "crafts". They tackled this while I was out at a meeting one night. They were pretty proud of them!

This was our project over Valentine's weekend. We put up chair rail and painted the boys room and the baby room.

Guitars out of tissue boxes. They still serenade me
When we were in Utah this past weekend, my aunt (a school teacher) decided the boys needed to learn how to use scissors. She had a bunch of extra kid scissors. I was a bit nervous, but they did well and made a huge mess. It kept them occupied for a long time!

Valentines

Valentines was pretty low key this year. Ryan had the day off and we actually planned a bunch of projects (painting) during that weekend. We did spend lots of time together though and it was a good weekend!
